Getting the bill wrong by a big margin. No problem getting it put right, but no apology either. A shame because everything else was perfect

Friendliness of the staff and owners. Food and beer excellent, especially the breakfast sausage. Tolerance of the swallows nest over the main entrance. Very convenient as a base for exploring.

The room was large and airy. Very clean and comfortable. Friendly owners and staff and the evening meal was splendid. My husband even took a photo as he had never had a fish so large! The full English

The rooms standing in grounds of the inn meant we had the closeness and accessibility of the restaurant, with the individuality of your own room, away from the hustle and bustle of a pub.
