Great hospitality tray in room, lovely toiletries in bathroom, room nicely decorated and accessorised. Comfortable beds, good menus. We had a lovely time in delightful surroundings.
Dislikes:
We found the quantities of food served just a little bit much at times. Not a complaint as such; I daresay lots of people could have coped, just too large helpings on occasion for us.
Response from The Boatside Inn:
Many thanks for your comments - baby Caitlin is a star I shall tell her mum - very pleased you enjoyed your stay kind regards Carol

Our room was perfectly presented and we enjoyed much desired peace and quiet - despite there being a railway just behind the building. Staff were friendly, efficient and helpful.
Dislikes:
The comfortable sun lounger provided outside the room was a bonus - but as there are two of us......perhaps another could be available?
Response from The Boatside Inn:
Many thanks for your kind comments and I note your remarks about the sun lounger - Yes we need more thankyou. Hopefully see you again some time regard Carol

Large comfortable en suit accommodation in converted out-building. Dog friendly and dog allowed in bar. Excellent and changing selection of local real ales.
Dislikes:
Food of variable quality. Breakfast generally good but bacon so hard as to be impossible to cut or pierce with a fork. Evening dinners everything from excellent to awful.

Convenience of position and also being able to have excellent value evening meals. It is clearly heavily used by the locals which is always a good sign. Very friendly staff and very efficient.
Dislikes:
Nothing.
Response from The Boatside Inn:
Hi Thankyou for your comments. Most people book online and the left hand room is the double and the middle and right hand room are twins. Therefore it depends on the particular requirements of the other guests. However I note your comments. Look forward to seeing you again in the near future regards Carol

A well appointed room with ALL the things you would expect to see and more. The owners had gone the extra mile to make the room sumptuous, cosy and welcoming. The staff were excellent and the food served was 10 out of 10. Just try the home made Meat & Potato Pie with all the trimmings, superb!
