My wife and I stayed for 3 nights as part of a holiday in Northumberland. The hotel is conveniently situated near road links but in a quiet area. The train line at the back of the rooms was not a problem. The room was spacious and clean and well stocked with tea, coffee water and biscuits.Breakfast was really good and the evening meals superb. Both cask ales on offer were very good. Thank you for your very kind comments. The winds have been awful but hopefully they have blown themselves out now. Look forward to you visiting us again

While there we went for a very pleasant circular walk around Warden and Fourstones.

The setup at Boatside is really well thought out. The B&B rooms, away from the pub are supplied with everything you need (except a tea-pot!) and all done to a very high standard of cleanliness.

"A beautiful country inn with good food and beer"
The Boathouse Inn is at the entrance to Warden, on the bank of the South Tyne near Hexham. The surroundings are beautiful and unspoilt. The rooms are high quality with good service. The variety of the pub menu meant we were able to have excellent evening meals there on two of our three evenings. We used the inn as a base for visiting Hexham and the North-East, and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Read less

Dislikes:
The lack of access to the Internet. More than likely due as much to poor coverage by my internet provider as well as the location of the Inn. This a minor problem.
Response from The Boatside Inn:
Hi Thank you for your kind comments. Yes we do have a problem with the Broadband this is due to the location of the inn. We actually have 2 lines into the pub to share the traffic but unfortunately this still gives us problems. BT are our provider and they are currently looking into providing a dedicated line into the pub so hopefully this will solve the problem - it will however take a few month. Fingers crossed it will work!!!
